Website Redesign: New Jersey Cookie Artist, Four Peas and a Dog
I’m so excited to launch Leslie Marchio’s website this past week! This baby has had quite the journey. We started winter of 2019, but then someone (that would be me) ended up having their baby 8 weeks early in December. Fast forward to the holidays, getting your bearings after the new year, then lovely COVID hitting….Leslie and I were both just thrown for a loop. But even though we both had a houseful of kids at home with quarantine, we got it done. And I am so so happy with it.
Her original site was a GoDaddy site she did herself and she had just outgrown it. Placing in cookie competitions left and right, being featured on Food Network and in Cookie Con, Leslie is in high demand for her cookies. Because they’re not just normal cookies, they’re literally artwork. I mean look at this….
Yeah…those are cookies.
Homegirl is talented.
Anyways, she was long overdue for an upgrade. So we switched her site to Squarespace, because its my favorite for portfolio/informational websites for a lot of reasons, but mostly because of its ease of use for my clients. People like Leslie are very much in the thick of running all aspects of their business, and they want to be able to update their website without having to always reach out to someone for help. Squarespace in my opinion is the best for that.
Check out her before website:
I only captured the home page because you get the point. It was not very mobile friendly and just didn’t position her as the expert and talent that she is.
We modified her brand color scheme a bit, really culled through some of her portfolio work to show the best of the best and created a newsletter template and lead capture form to get her clients information.
And here is the final result!
Clean. Crisp. Easy to navigate. Mobile friendly. Just how I like my sites to be.
And if you need any cookies or are interested in learning how to decorate and you’re in the Jersey area, contact her!
